New Program under way at K4K!!!

Well Im not sure who all reads this anymore but I would like to apologize for the huge delay inbetween posts. Not alot has gone on with K4K but I apologize for the lack of updates. But now back to the exciting news!

For the summer of 2008 Kicks4Kenya is going to be partnering with the MLS's Kansas City Wizards to raise money to get people in Kenya mosquito nets to stop the spread of maleria. Maleria kills more then 3,000 people in Africa PER DAY! This is an outrageous number considering the fact that for just $10 you can buy a mosquito net for a family to save their lives.

Several fundraisers are going to be held over the summer and the fall and the distribution of the nets will take place in the Winter of 2008/2009, hopefully while Kylee and myself are in Kenya. We are also going to be working on promo videos for people to share and put on YouTube to hopefully spread the word worldwide and get as many donations as possible! This is a great opportunity to use your spare change to save a life!

If you feel led to buy a net all you have to do is go to Kicks4Kenya.org and click on the donate button and donate $10 safely and securely through paypal. With your donation you will receive a picture of the family that your net is going to help.

Keep checking in on the blog for updates on the project and also a "goal count" of how many nets we have raised. Our goal for this summer of 2008 is 100 nets for 100 families. And yes, I promise to update the blog with new news :) Thanks for your time everyone and God Bless,

TJ
